A George III silver travelling campaign set by Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson, London 1798, and Moses Brent, London 1799, comprising - plain silver beaker, 3.375ins high, silver cylindrical three sectional condiment, 5ins high, two forks, two knives and a spoon, all with detachable filled handles (weighable silver 8.8ozs), all contained in fitted maroon leather case, the lid initialled in gilt "WBC", 6.25ins overall. Provenance: Owned by Joseph Cotton (1746-1825), English Mariner and Merchant, director of the East India Company, and thence by family descent.
