The Very Revd Dr Robert Willis, the 39th Dean of Canterbury since the Reformation, was installed in July 2001. He had previously been Dean of Hereford for nine years and has been Chairman of the Deans’ Conference of the Church of England since 1999. He is an honorary Doctor of Divinity of Yale University and Doctor of Civil Law of the University of Kent. In 2008 he was made a Freeman of the City of Canterbury and is a Deputy Lieutenant of the County of Kent. The Dean of Canterbury will be describing a typical day in his working life - if there is such a thing as normal when you are responsible for Canterbury Cathedral. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening with Doctor Robert in what is set to be an entertaining and informative talk - a must see.
The talk will finish at 8.00pm when complementary wine and nibbles will be offered and guests will have a chance to meet our speaker Dr Robert Willis and our specialists here at The Canterbury Auction Galleries.
