CRANBROOK VALUATION DAY - APRIL 14TH 2012

FREE ANTIQUES VALUATION DAY MARKS LINK BETWEEN KENT FIRMS OF ESTATE AGENTS AND FINE ART AUCTIONEERS

The Directors of The Canterbury Auction Galleries are delighted to announce the foundation of an association with Cranbrook, Kent-based chartered surveyors and estate agents Lambert & Foster.

The link between the two companies, one the county’s longest established and leading auctioneers and valuers of fine art, antiques and collectables, the other, a firm of residential estate agents, agricultural, commercial and residential lettings agents, planning consultants and chartered building surveyors with more than a century of experience, will bring a new level of service to their respective sets of clients.

Launching the informal agreement between the two companies, a free antiques and fine art valuation day will be held at Lambert & Foster’s Cranbrook office on Saturday, April 14. Present will be Lambert & Foster Partner Alec Cox, who until 2008 was manager of the company’s Tenterden antiques saleroom, and Tony Pratt, Managing Director, and Michael Roberts of The Canterbury Auction Galleries.

They will be present between 9.30am and 12.30pm at the Lambert & Foster office at 39 High Street, Cranbrook TN17 3DN, to give free saleroom valuations on a wide range of objects including ceramics, glass, silver, jewellery, clocks, works of art, paintings and collectors’ items. Appointments will not be necessary.

Valuers are also able to give opinions on photographs of objects that are too numerous or heavy to take to the event and it will also be possible to arrange home visits subsequent to the day. Valuations are given without obligation, but people are often so surprised by the value of what they own, they are happy to leave them for sale.

Objects consigned for sale will be included in one of The Canterbury Auction Galleries’ highly successful Two Day sales held periodically throughout the year. The next is on Tuesday and Wednesday May 22-23. Closing date for entries is April 18.
