Note: Paul Ludwig Ewald von Kleist (1881-1954), Field Marshal in the Wehrmacht, commanded the first Panzer group during Operation Barbarossa (1941), and Army group A during the Summer Campaign of 1942. After the war he was extradited to the Soviet Union where he was convicted of war crimes in 1948. In 1952 he was given a ten year sentence for war crimes and died in the Vladimir Central Prison 1954.
