A good George IV silver circular two-handled tureen and cover, the squat lobed body with bold cast shell, moulded and leaf scroll mounts to rim and conforming cast scroll land floral handles, the body boldly embossed and chased with floral and leaf scroll ornament on a textured leaf pattern ground, the conforming slightly domed cover with cast melon and leaf pattern finial, on conforming moulded circular footrim, 12.5ins diameter x 12.5ins high, by Edward, John and William Barnard, London 1829, with slightly later liner (to form an ice bucket) by the same maker, London 1832 (weight 156ozs)
