A good George III silver two-handled rectangular tray, the rim with bold French gadroon mounts and with reeded and leaf capped handles, 28ins x 18.5ins overall, by Joseph Craddock and William Reid, London 1813 (weight circa 180ozs), the centre engraved with bold armorial and worded "Craig Elachie" above motto "Have At You" Provenance : From the collection of James Fairfax A.C., Stanbridge Mill, Gussage All Saints, Dorset, purchased from J. H. Borden-Smith Ltd, 1992. Sold at Duke's Auctioneers, Dorchester, Dorset, 4th December 2014, Lot 90 Note : The armorial is possibly that of Grant and Frenchie through the descent of the earldom of Deafield
