An 18th Century Oak Longcase Clock by Chaplin of Ashby (de-la Zouch), the 12ins square brass dial with silvered chapter ring, with Roman numerals, to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, in associated oak and mahogany case with moulded scroll pediment and turned and fluted pillars to hood, shaped trunk door crossbanded in mahogany and inlaid with ovoid shell motif, conforming plinth base, 84ins high
