Martin of Bristol, the 12ins arched brass dial with wide silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, and with calendar and showing phases of the moon to arch to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in walnut case with arched and moulded cornice and plain turned pillars to hood, arched trunk door with matched figured veneered panels and crossbanded, on conforming plinth base, 88ins high Note: John Martin listed as a watchmaker in Bristol 1722-1734
