A good George V 15ct gold and ivory mounted chalice and paten in the Arts & Crafts manner, the plain hammered circular bowl above bulbous reeded ivory knop interspersed by twelve bands, with plain flared footrim, 113mm diameter x 166mm high, and plain scale paten, 146mm diameter, by Omar Ramsden, hallmarked London 1927 (gross weight 25ozs) Provenance : Originally made for the Benedictine Abbey at Ramsgate, Kent,which was designed by Augustus Welby Pugin Sold by Auction by Dominic Winter, Gloucestershire - 9th February 2012, Lot 484.
