A good 18th/19th Century Italian Piedmontese walnut, ebonised and ivory inlaid Bureau Mazarin, the whole extensively inlaid with panels depicting a horse-drawn chariot and numerous armorial cartouches, urns, birds, masks, griffins and standing figures of putti, the superstructure with bowed ends fitted six small drawers above writing surface with moulded edge, the kneehole base with recessed central drawer and cupboard flanked by bow-fronted pedestals, each fitted three drawers, on ebonised scroll supports and six turned and octagonal tapered legs with X-pattern stretchers and turned feet, 64ins wide x 27.5ins deep x 42ins high Note : One of the smaller bow-fronted drawers in the superstructure is variously inscribed in different hands in Italian 1834 and 1904 (?)
