After Godfrey Kneller (1646-1723) - Oil painting - Three-quarter length portrait of Robert Harley, Earl of Oxford (1661-1724), canvas 50ins x 40ins, in carved gilt wood frame
Note: The National Portrait Gallery has a near identical copy of this work (NPG16). This work is based on a full length portrait of 1714. Similar three-quarter length versions include those in the British Museum and those formerly at Patshull and Compton Verney. The period carved gilt frame may be 18th century.
