Tuesday 12 Apr, 2016 - 10.00amA good Victorian gilt brass cased "Strut" clock in the manner of Thomas Cole, by Lewis & Son of Brighton, the silvered dial with 3ins diameter chapter ring with pin fixed Roman numerals, the dial centre boldly engraved with bold leaf scroll ornament, within shaped gilt slip to the eight day two train movement with balance escapement to the top of the movement, striking and repeating on a gong, contained in gilt brass rectangular case with arched and moulded top, bold folding loop handle and raised strapwork, the whole engraved with bold leaf scroll ornament and gradrooning, 6.25ins high, with original key and contained in maroon leather covered fitted travelling case
