A late 19th Century French black slate cased mantel clock, the 3.25ins white enamelled chapter ring with Roman numerals and visible escapement to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in black slate drum pattern case with scroll supports and rectangular plinth base, 8.75ins high, with silver presentation plaque "1st Kent Artillery Volunteers - Prize Shooting, presented by R.B. Oakeley Esqr. Won by Corporal Fuller 1874"
