A late 19th Century French gilt brass and champleve enamel cased carriage clock by Louis Fernier & Son of Paris, No. 3876, the 2.25ins diameter chapter ring later painted with Arabic numerals within ornate champleve enamel slip, to the eight day two train movement striking and repeating on a gong, contained in gilt brass, champleve enamel and bevelled glass rectangular case, the angular folding handle with reeded centre panel and with plain turned columns to corners with Corinthian capitals, with conforming champleve enamel decoration to the top and frieze, 7.25ins high, and with red leather covered travelling case for same (chapter ring poorly painted and with slight damage to enamel to front left column)
