A good Charles II silver two-handled porringer and cover, the bulbous body and slightly domed lid embossed and chased with tulips, flowers and leaves, the domed cover with cast knop to finial and with twin cast scroll handles with female mask finials, 6.25ins high, hallmarked London 1663, maker's mark "SR" in shield pattern reserve (crisply marked to lid and base), the body and interior of lid with pin pricked engraving initialled "I over IE" in shaped circular reserve (weight 17ozs)
