A Queen Anne silver tumbler cup, 2.5ins diameter x 2ins high, probably by William Bainbridge, London 1711 (weight 2.25ozs), engraved with crest of a hound in front of a tree and worded "PONE CIRCUM" and the base initialled "A.I.L."
Provenance: Collection of John N. Price Wood (1877-1962), born Wirksworth Hall, Derbyshire, and later at Henley Hall, Bitterley, Shropshire, who served in the 12th Lancers in the Boer War, and was author of "Travel & Sport in Turkestan", published 1910
