An 18th Century oak longcase clock by John Silke of Elmstead, the 11ins square brass dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, matted dial centre engraved with a bird and basket of fruit and with date aperture to the brass framed thirty hour movement with outside locking plate, contained in plain oak case with moulded caddy top and plain turned pillars to hood, plain trunk and on bracket feet, 82ins high (including later brass finials)
