A 19th Century silver gilt cylindrical seal box, the lid surmounted by a frosted glass bust of Aristotle, on cylindrical base finely engraved with putti, masks and leaf scroll ornament and inset with four carved hardstone oval intaglios, one in chalcedony depicting the head of a man, one in agate depicting the bust of a black man, one in amethyst (possibly bust of Napoleon), and grey opaque intaglio with mask of Medusa, 6.75ins high overall
