A George III needlework sampler by Mary Story, 1803, worked in coloured silks with Adam and Eve either side of the tree with serpent, flowering vases, animals and birds, and bands of alphabet and numbers and with an uplifting verse, within a floral border, 20.5ins x 17ins, and another by Elizabeth Salte, 1778, with a verse "on friendship" and "on content", with flowers, within a running floral border, 17ins x 13ins, both framed and glazed
