A 19th Century French Red Tortoiseshell, Boulle and Gilt Brass Mounted Mantel Clock of "Louis XV" Design, the cast gilt brass dial with blue enamel Roman numeral cartouches of shaped outline, to the eight day two train movement stamped "Daru a Paris, No. 416 64", contained in case of waisted form, surmounted by a figure of a putto seated on a phoenix, the brass framed door of shaped outline with Cupid ornament and with red tortoiseshell borders inlaid with brass leaf scroll work, on leaf pattern feet, 25ins high, and conforming bracket of incurved form with cast brass caryatid mounts to front, 13.5ins wide x 6.75ins deep x 7ins high, 32ins high overall
