A 19th Century French Red Tortoiseshell, Boulle and Gilt Brass Mounted Mantel Clock of "Louis XIV" Design, the arched gilt brass dial signed "Malbec Paris" and within raised enamel Roman numeral cartouches, to the later two train movement by Japy Freres, No. 1235 44, striking on a gong, contained in case with shaped top inlaid with leaf scroll Boulle ornament and with eight turned urn pattern finials, the slightly bombe sides with gilt brass leaf scroll mounts, on turned feet, 13.25ins high
