An Unusual Painted Oak Longcase Clock of Small Proportions, the 8ins arched brass dial signed "John Crucefix of London", the chapter ring (formerly silvered) with Roman numerals and matted dial centre, to the later eight day two train movement with heavy brass plates and turned pillars striking on a bell, contained in oak case with moulded scroll pediment and narrow plain turned pillars to hood, arched trunk door painted with floral ornament, the plinth base painted with young woman at an open window serving a gentleman, 52ins high (including finial) Note: John Crucifex recorded as a Member of The Clockmakers Company 1712-1726
