The Canterbury Auction Galleries - Annual Pre-Sale Talks 2018 - In Partnership with Canterbury Festival05/12/17
We are proud to announce that for the third year running we will be hosting a series of four pre-sale talks in partnership with Canterbury Festival.
Our talks will include a private viewing of our upcoming sale, drinks and nibbles and give those attending a chance to meet the speaker and our own specialists.
The schedule of talks for 2018 are as follows -
Wednesday 31st January
Journeys with "The Waste Land" with Turner Contemporary
Journeys with "The Waste Land" is a major exhibition at Turner Contemporary exploring the significance of T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land through visual arts. Professor Mike Tooby and Research Curator Trish Scott will give a fascinating insight into the work involved in the production of the exhibition and the Poet's connection with Kent.

The Art of Feng Shui with Alan Stirling
Alan Stirling is one of the world's top Feng Shui Master Consultants who has, for over 25 years, produced outstanding Feng Shui results for clients worldwide. Alan teaches highly successful traditional Chinese Feng Shui and leads "The Feng Shui School of Excellence"

Crocodiles and Kings with David Parker
After last year's talk on Hogarth and his walk around Kent, in particular the Isle of Sheppey, Dave has received many requests from the attendees for more interesting facts involving the Island. This talk will hopefully inspire many of you to see this historic part of Kent in a new light.

Finding Jesselton with George Jessel
George Jessel explores the fascinating riddle of Kotakinabalu a bustling modern city in North Borneo once named Jesselton after his Great Grandfather Sir Charles James Jessel. Cleverly intertwining modern day visits and family history, George looks at the origins of the British North Borneo Company and the involvement of Sir Charles James Jessel.
